Semileptonic B Meson Decays and Interfering Amplitudes
Consequences of the interference between external and internal spectator amplitudes for the lifetimes and semileptonic decay fractions of B and B mesons are discussed. Extrapolating from the constructive interference observed in 11 exclusive hadronic B decays we find an inclusive semileptonic decay fraction of (11.2± 0.5 ± 1.7)%, significantly closer to the experimental results than previous pr...
متن کاملPeculiarities in multichannel interaction amplitudes for meson-meson scattering and scalar meson spectroscopy
Interactions in coupled channels ππ, KK̄ and an effective 2π2π in scalar-isoscalar wave have been analysed. Influence of interchannel couplings on analytical structure of multichannel interaction amplitudes has been studied. Interplay of S-matrix zeroes and poles and their relation with parameters of scalar resonances has been investigated. PACS numbers: 11.80.Gw, 13.60.Le, 13.75.Lb, 14.40.Cs St...
متن کاملMeson mixing amplitudes in asymmetric nuclear matter
Using a purely hadronic model, we study the charge-symmetry-breaking ρ-ω, σ-δ, σ-ρ and δ-ω mixing amplitudes in isospin asymmetric nuclear matter. The basic assumption of the model is that the mixing amplitude is generated by nucleon and anti-nucleon loops and hence driven entirely by the difference between proton and neutron Fermi momenta and the proton-neutron mass difference. We find that th...
متن کاملRenormalization of B-meson distribution amplitudes
We summarize recent calculations concerning the evolution kernels of the two-particle B-meson distribution amplitudes φ + and φ − taking into account three-particle contributions, as well as the evolution kernel of the combination of three-particle distribution amplitudes Ψ A − Ψ V. We exploit these results to confirm constraints on φ + and φ − derived from the light-quark equation of motion.
متن کاملModels for Light-Cone Meson Distribution Amplitudes
Leading-twist distribution amplitudes (DAs) of light mesons like π, ρ etc. describe the leading nonperturbative hadronic contributions to exclusive QCD reactions at large energy transfer, for instance electromagnetic form factors. They also enter B decay amplitudes described in QCD factorisation, in particular nonleptonic two-body decays. Being nonperturbative quantities, DAs cannot be calculat...
